propane gas.... venting

I hate my gas company. They own the tank that is buried in my ground and won't sell it to us  so we can shop around. I find out from the guy across the street that they did buy the tank from them for $1500.00 and the gas company is lying saying  they did not. So I tell her that and she says they had special circumstances and the owner made a deal...well...I want a deal too.   I see another company deliver to that house so I know the homeowner is not lying. I guess they are afraid of losing  more business...sheesh....I ask for a once a month delivery to help keep the cost down per delivery and they say no, you get it every 45 days making it a higher bill and then you set it colder to  off set that..it's a no win situation!

Good Gosh!!!  My electric was $185.00 in an all electric home.  We are lucky here I guess.

Good grief........my electric bill a month ago for all electric was $560 (and that was a first in the last 8 yrs for us here) and this month it went down to $350........I can't imaging paying that much every 45 days......

I guess I better count myself as lucky then...gas, water and electric run us about $450 a month right now...but we're gone most of the day and the heat is set automatically to keep the house cooler while we're gone and at night...

Keep in mind I had two back to back blizzards and a big house...Bt still I have never paid that much  before.

Our's has never been that high either no matter how cold or hot it gets........and I was gone for 2 weeks during the month it was the highest and have been the only person here since first of Nov........we are on a private electric company and they know we can't do a thing about it.........I called and complained and she had some excuse for everything I said........I told her I was the only one here and was gone for 2 weeks........she asked when I was gone...........I told her and, of course, she said the REALLY cold weather was 2 days after I got back for the next 2 weeks..........she asked me what I had my heat set at...........I told her 70-71 and she said "We RECOMMEND that you put it at 68-69." Then she said that there was probably something  wrong with my unit...........I told her it was brand new and she said it still could have something wrong........They know they have you between a rock and hard place............but just to make sure, I had both units checked and they were both in fine condition...........Errrrrrrrrrrrrrr  Thankfully the guy I got to come was really nice and he only charged me $48 to check them out..........well, one was still in warranty and he charged just for the larger one.........
