I love Dennis Prager.  He debates, he doesn't belittle.  He prefers clarity over persuasion.  Even when I don't agree, I enjoy listening to his radio show and have even called in several times.

Awesome, you probably don't know this from my time on MyWay but I'm a Prager Organizer as well..  :-)

Jim,
This is my first time using Aesop so I've already benefited and feel organized. Well almost. This is a good place/way to share but I could see some other activities that might lead to more structure sometime. The important thing for me is to not get lost in the technology but mature in the digestion of some of the ideas and content of Dennis Prager discussions. Sometimes face to face might be more effective although I like your initiative here as a start. Thanks!

I haven't been keeping up with the group for awhile because there was a time that I couldn't get in.  I probably had my password wrong.  Anyways, I hope you guys continue with the group.  Last time I was on, there was a plan for the group to meet at a restaurant.  I asked if people were coming and no one responded.  I didn't go since it was on the other side of town and I didn't want to be the only one there.  Needless to say, I don't know how it went.  This was before the aesopsretreat site.

Yes, the Forum was oriignally on my own sever in my home at www.jsamples.com. But it was far too slow to handle a signifcant amount of traffic both in the forum as well as on the website. So I changed the name of the forum and moved it onto a professional host. The forum can now handle any traffic that is tossed at it. Plus its been modified with a really nice look and feel to it....  :- )

Jim, Thanks for responding back when I wrote you. You've got a nice message board and it's much like the old MyWay and Excite, and a most popular board too. Lucky there are still places to go and see some familiar posters and/or topics. I mostly just read, do so quite a bit and have for a while, well-before the other boards closed, but maybe if I start posting I can send/receive PMs I asked about.
 
I hope it's ok to post this in the radio section since it's not as busy right now. Speaking of radio, I've heard Dennis Prager before but it's been a while. I do remember him as common sense. In S Cali he, Rush and I think O'Reily compete from the 9 to noon slots. I discovered iphones app's for all three of those stations and some others that I can now listen to live from my phone.  Tigs/Tiggera.
p.s. can't remember if Beck is on the radio here in Cali, but with apps and the internet I'm sure his radio show streams anywhere.

Tig, you can post anywhere you want. It gets pretty intense in a few of the boards, ie: current events and eXcite.  However, Daily Life, Pets, Music etc is where Sunshine and the more laid back, non-confrontational, ladies reside. The MyWay and Talk Radio areas are fairly slow right, which you've already witnessed. But, you're more than welcome to sit back and read all our nonsense as much as you want. As far as I'm concerned, even those that listen still contribute. :-)
 
As for the jsamples.com,  I need to work on that website again. Its the same way that I left it nearly two years ago. I've added nothing to it yet its sitting here right next to me in my home. Besides it keeps crashing on me.
 
Anyways, I'm glad you found this place. I'm betting MyWay and eXcite has a lot of orphans.

Yeah, lots of us Excite/MyWay orphans hanging around.: ) I discovered Excite almost a decade ago and Myway a few years after that. That's right, you've had this board since 2007 (I think) and.......jsamples before that...? I think I read that this holds more traffic. I have had a hard time getting or staying in here 3 or 4 times over the last couple of weeks......my browser would go into an unconnected spin - that may be what you mean by crash; how it goes on my end anyway. I saw the news box article you posted at top right.
 
I think I first came here last year (or even the year before if it was linked from MyWay at that time). Yes I enjoy the comedy of Luv (but worry for her being in "drug areas" ) ...get a kick from "dard-i-poo's" sarcastic antics  (insert that yahoo IM laughing on floor icon.....wish it would go in, I like your smilies! ) ...appreciate all the talents of Sunshine, and happy to see Nanaw (sp?) amom'slove here, have always liked her posts. I think it's her anyway.  And there was a Samantha on MyWay I used to like to read, maybe you did too. Remember she would run or ski in the mornings....coffee in the mug...and get ready for her day. She lived in...Montana...?or Idaho? Haven't seen her around since well before MyWay closed. I think she might (not sure) be in the military. If she is, and is on duty somewhere I hope she is safe.  There are many more fav's I have but would be here all day posting about the posters I enjoy reading and those.. not so much haha... yeah I can be a bit boring.
 
During work I don't usually have time to post ...read mostly, normally on my own laptop that my employer is fine with, between busy times, on breaks etc. When in the field I access internet on phone or laptop. At home when I'm not doing something or done for the day I turn on the computer and/or Tv and chill. I have opinions and sometimes post them.: ) Right now I have to go workout, a must at this age and after that I'm going to pull out my sewing machine. I'm an amatetur "designer" in my own mind haha.
 
Talk radio is a hot-button topic and see it discussed everywhere including here and on your main page(s). You've got a really busy board and provide a good aesopsretreat service, especially those of us who have withdrawl symptoms from the closures of Excite and MyWay. Thanks, Jim. Tig
